Euclid Was A Square
Vaguely insulting long-dead philosophers.
Buttons: Arrow keys, Z/C, and X.
Up to five rooms, but may seem like more.
The goal is to find the elusive green door.
Do blue doors change the size of you,
the size of the world, or just your view?
This was a PICO-8 prototype I made for a game jam, with the theme "Mad World".

it doesn't feel very non Euclidian, it just feels like random rooms of varying size, but if you threw in some scenery, landmarks, literally anything to see if you have grown or shrunk or repeated the same room, that would GREATLY increase the mind heckery, just sayin, and maybe add in control settings and/sound fx, then boom, its like game jam status
I would have loved to, but it was a game jam, and I ran out of time (working alone, and discovering it takes way more maths than I expected). But also, annoyingly, it was hard to find the fun. It's a fun proof-of-concept as-is, but if I were to put more effort in, I'd want there to be more to it than just a maze. And it turned out to be really hard to take in a fun direction (especially as a dev that likes procedural generation over hand-crafting).
Still occasionally thinking, though. It would be kind of a shame to waste such a good game title. I'm still proud of that. :3
ohhhh ok, well you could always expand on this game, like a part 2, non-euclidian games are always getting a download from me, you could make a game like this one, but with different rooms/colors, landmarks, and maybe a story? idk im just throwing ideas out there, i find it best to make non-euclid games 3d, but a 2d one doesnt seem bad either, so try it if you feel like it
My head hurts...
